I suspect you may well be running afoul of spam filters. We did have to strengthen them recently due to excessive spamming from India.
I'm just wondering what advantage your patch offers over simply pressing ENTER on the currently playing track?

It saves me a keystroke if the song is not selected. I used to just press 'b' and 'n' but it didn't work if it was the first song being played. Also, pressing ENTER messes up the shuffle order, and causes songs to be re-played.
