I have Debian 4.0 and ASUS A6Rp laptop with ALSA 1.0.15 installed.
After entering 'mocp' in command line I get it running, but playing music gives no sound. After quitting MOC i can see the following:
Starting server
Trying JACK...
Trying ALSA...
and here's cause for it probably - something with ALSA. What should I do?

Hey all,
I just upgraded to [Gentoo's portage version: http://sources.gentoo.org/viewcvs.py/gentoo-x86/media-sound/moc/moc-2.5.0_alpha2.ebuild?rev=1.8&view=log] of moc, which is 2.5.0_alpha2; it compiled fine, but whenever I try to start it, I get:
FATAL_ERROR: Layout1 is malformed
I removed my ~/.moc directory and tried various -T options, but nothing worked.
Is this a known problem, or is it a Gentoo-specific issue (entirely possible), or did I just do something wrong?
Thanks!

Hello, I'm trying to create a theme that matches the rest of my system, and I'm close to done, but there's one thing bothering me: the background of the "info" field for the track that is currently playing.

As you can see, it is blue, which I do not want. This color seems to correspond with the "urxvt*color10: #5B75AF" line in my .Xdefaults governing the colors of my terminals, but I am trying to keep this color to use as one of my $PS1 colors. I like that the currently playing track's text is in that color, and I would like to keep it that way.
I've tried changing the 'info' and 'marked file' fields in my theme file. Nothing changes this. Ideally, I'd like it to be transparent like the window background. My theme file is posted below. Any hints? Thanks.

Hi,
I installed a second soundcard which is connected to my stereo. I got moc working by setting "AlsaDevice = hw:1,0" in $HOME/.moc/config and now I can play some music.
But what is nolonger working is that I can adjust the volume by pressing "," or ".". Just noting happens.... is there something more I should put into my config?
Thanks

the last.fm protocol specifies that the song be submitted after it plays. the song change event should include the previous track's information as well.
