Stable: 2.5.2
Development: 2.6-alpha3
Hi everyone. I'm using MOC to play my music library which was created on an OS X computer so there are a lot of AAC (.m4a) MP4 files there. I built MOC with ffmpeg support, and ffmpeg was built with AAC support, so I'm not sure why this doesn't work. Before I rebuilt everything, the AAC files just didn't show up in the browser. Now they do but when I hit enter I get:
FATAL_ERROR: Can't receive value from the server.
Any help would be appreciated. This is a really cool program so I want to get it working just right!

What version of MOC are you
What version of MOC are you trying to build ?
I had a similar problem with 2.4.1. It worked when this patch (http://www.informatik.uni-bremen.de/~hiben/moc/2.4.1-ffmpegbug.patch) was applied.

Yeah, it was 2.4.1
Yeah, it was 2.4.1 that I was having the crash in. But I realized that I could try 2.4.2 which was in portage but masked, before making an overlay and applying the patch. And with 2.4.2, AAC files play and don't crash the machine, the only issue is that they only show the filename, not the ID3 tags, but that's not a big deal to me. Thanks for the help.
