Buffer Settings for old Laptop

Hi

Running MOC on and old Dell laptop, pulling in music from NFS shares on my server over a wireless connection.

Can you please recommend the best buffer settings to use so that:

1. The gap between tracks is minimised
2. Playback is not disrupted by other minor activity on the laptop, e.g. using calcurse or mc
3. So that MOC does not crash and become unresponsive e.g. when playing if you try to disconnect from the server (Press q) nothing happens and MOC locks up.

Thanks, i think MOC is just great :)

Running command line 8.10 xubuntu install, no X, MOC installed from ubuntu repository.

When MOC "locks up" music keeps playing but can't use MOC anymore.
